I’m thrilled to introduce Lauren Matthews as The Acorn’s brand new Recipes Editor (or Recipe Goddess, if you prefer)! Lauren has grown up around home cooking, watching her mother make gourmet dishes from scratch on an almost daily basis. She’s turned it up a notch with her own passion for eating well, and has been busy creating the most scrumptious foods with a modern twist - vegan options, flexitarian flavour, nouveau ingredients, and lots of love.
Lauren’s fresh take on delicious, nourishing food belies the fact she’s only 23 years old. She’s impressed me over and over again with recipes that incorporate foods we’re familiar with, but end with a flourish I never would have considered. The final result is often a mouthwatering masterpiece of what can be accomplished with simple, fresh ingredients.
I simply can’t say enough about her creations. Hopefully some of this stardust rubs off on the rest of us! Over to you, Lauren!
